Biography

I’ve been stitching, sewing, knitting and otherwise making for longer than I can remember. Both parents are what you might call crafty individuals, but it was my grandmothers who encouraged and indulged my passion for all things textile.

These days I live with my daughter and two zany dogs in a tiny brick bungalow surrounded by a lovely overgrown garden. My art has been exhibited in the US and abroad at museums including New York’s Museum of Art and Design, the Museum of Fine Art, Boston and the Milwaukee Museum of Art.

When I’m not knitting, crocheting, or up to other tomfoolery in the studio, I am cooking, eating, gardening, traveling or reading. I love coffee shops, mysteries, Thai food, dark chocolate, red wine, blue water, pink roses, giggling, London, Paris, memoirs, tempera paint, and French, which I've been studying since childhood and have yet to master. Those tricky subjonctifs!
